Operations and Administration

The flow of Administration of this Local Government starts from the Chairman/Caretaker Chairman to the Head of Local Government Administration through the Director of Administration & Generals Services to the Entire Staffs’

Operations and Administration Details

The LCDA is headed by the caretaker chairman who happens to be the political head. The Ag. HLGA is the number one(1) civil servant  supported by the other eight Directors heading the  various Departments

 The Ag. DAGs is assisted by Deputy DAGS, followed by Establishment officer, and members of staff of the department who help in the day to day running of the administration of the LCDA.

 Generally, we have 8 departments at the LCDA headed by different Directors. The departments include Administration and General Services, Finance and Supplies, Works, Education & Social Services, Budget, Planning, Research and Statistics, Primary Health Care, Environmental health Services and Agriculture and Natural Resources.

Each of the departments also has a deputy who is saddled with responsibilities of assisting the head of the department and also to carry out other duties as may be assigned to him/her by superior officers

Every mail and proposal from outside are always directed to the chairman who is the Chief Accounting officer of the LCDA. The Ag.HLGA is the administrative head. The chairman & the HLGA are excluded from signing cheques but are both saddled with financial responsibility of signing the confirmation while the cheques are signed by both the directors of Finance & Supplies and Administration and General Service.

 The internal memo is also addressed to the Chairman through the directors of each department, through the HLGA and to the chairman of the LCDA while the approval of such memo is conveyed to the author by the administrative department *Operation and administration details*
